Fabric Obstructed was designed with the challenge to use a material in an unconventional way. Muslin fabric was used to create a wearable piece of art. Volume around the neck was achieved by cinching several different sizes of fabric and securing them side by side. The fabric is cut longer at the back and secures the necklace to the body.
